All DLC armor locations in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

There are plenty of unique armor sets for you to collect in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree. Whether you want to amplify your style with a cool bear pelt hat, or up your defenses to prepare for the challenges ahead, you’ll find what you’re looking for in the Shadow Realm.

Gravesite Plain armor sets

Gravesite Plain, the opening area of Shadow of the Erdtree, has only a handful of armor pieces scattered around its open world and inside its dungeons. There are 13 new armor items in Gravesite Plain.

Ascetic’s Set

The Ascetic’s Set is a random drop from Curseblade enemies, which you can find all over the Shadow Realm. There’s a farmable Curseblade just down the stairs from the Stagefront Site of Grace in Belurat castle.

Curseblade enemies can randomly drop one of four pieces: Curseblade Mask, Ascetic’s Loincloth, Ascetic’s Wrist Guards, or Asceitc’s Ankle Guards.

Gravebird Armor

East of Belurat, the castle, and east of the lake where you fight the Ghostflame Dragon, you’ll find a bunch of graves resting under arches.

Approach the grave in the corner, by the cliff wall, and interact with the pillar of light in front of it to get the Gravebird Armor chest piece.

Solitude armor set

The Blackgaol Knight — an optional boss — will give you his entire plate armor set if you hunt him down in the Shadow Realm. You can find him in the Western Nameless Mausoleum, which is west of the Scorched Ruins in Gravesite Plain. Kill him and he’ll drop the Helm, Armor, Gauntlets, and Greaves of Solitude.

Serpent Crest Shield

Once you acquire the “Incursion” painting from the Artist’s Shack in Gravesite Plain, head northwest of the large lake in the northern part of the area. You’ll find a ghost sitting in a chair. Approach them you’ll be able to loot the Serpent Crest Shield.

Horned Warrior armor set

Inside Belurat, the giant castle town on the west side of Gravesite Plain, you’ll come across a warrior with a horned helmet, wielding two swords. They’ll be in the castle square, just after your second site of grace. Kill them and they’ll have a chance to drop a piece of Horned Warrior armor

There are a variety of Horned Warrior enemies in the Shadow Lands, but this one is the fastest to get to and defeat.

Divine Beast Head

At the top of Belurat castle, you’ll fight the Divine Beast Dancing Lion, a massive puppet that dashes around the battlefield. When you kill it, you’ll get a Remembrance (like with most major bosses), but you’ll also get the Divine Beast Head helmet. This is the head of the lion you just killed, and is preposterously large.

Oathseeker Knight armor set

The Oathseeker Knight armor set is located southeast of Prospect Town in Gravesite Plain, just above where you start the DLC. Make your way here and look for a small cave entrance that will take you to the Church of Benediction. Near the church, you’ll find a body hanging over a ledge. Loot the body to get the complete Oathseeker Knight armor set: Oathseeker Knight Greaves, Oathseeker Knight Gauntlets, Oathseeker Knight Armor, and the Oathseeker Knight Helm.

Greatjar helm

The Greatjar helmet is in the Belurat Gaol dungeon, toward the very end. After the large fall that leads you to a jar maze, head across the bridge like you’re on your way to the final boss. Once you’re across the bridge, head right and you’ll find a hanging jar off the side of the cliff. Jump on and ride it to the top. Jump across and follow the path to the Greatjar helmet.

Black Knight armor

Across the bridge in Gravesite Plain, you’ll find a Black Knight with a shield hidden among the army tents. Kill them and they have a chance to drop their armor.

You can also find these enemies in Scadu Altus and Shadow Keep. Shielded Black Knights have a chance to drop their Black Steel Greatshield.

Messmer Soldier shield and armor set

Across the bridge in Gravesite plain, you’ll find an army camp filled with soldiers. Kill the basic Messmer Soldiers who wield shields and they have a chance to drop the Messmer Soldier Shield.

You’ll find these Messmer enemies throughout Castle Ensis as well as in and around Shadow Keep in Scadu Altus.

Common Soldier Set

The Common Soldier Set is a random drop from Common Soldier enemies, who differ slightly from Messmer’s soldiers. You can find them just south of Castle Ensis.

Common Soldiers can drop four different pieces: Common Soldier Helm, Common Soldier cloth Armor, Common Soldier Gauntlets, and Common Soldier Greaves.

Wolf Crest Shield

As you enter the true Castle Ensis via the main gate, you’ll encounter Moonrithyll, Carian Knight, a mini-boss with a big sword. After you kill them, take a right down some stairs and into a small basement room with a fireplace. You’ll find a chest in here. Open it to get the Wolf Crest Shield.

Gravebird Bracelets

East of Castle Ensis, along the road and past the site of grace, you’ll find a bunch of Gravebirds perched on some pillars. At the foot of a pillar on the left, you’ll find a body. Loot it to get the Gravebird Bracelets.

Cerulean Coast armor sets

The Cerulean Coast is the seaside region in Shadow of the Erdtree, and it’s located south of Gravesite Plain. There are two new armor sets here.

Dancer’s armor set

Southeast of the Cerulean Coast, West Site of Grace, you’ll find an underwater cave that will take you to the Southern Nameless Mausoleum. Inside you’ll face the Dancer of Ranah. Defeat her and she’ll drop the entire Dancer set: Dancer’s Hood, Dancer’s Dress, Dancer’s Bracer, and Dancer’s Trousers.

St. Trina’s Blossom

After defeating the Putrescent Knight in the pit of the Stone Coffin Fissure dungeon, and after completing the final boss of the DLC, visit St. Trina to receive the St. Trina’s Blossom.

Scadu Altus armor sets

Scadu Altus is the second major area in Shadow of the Erdtree, and it acts as the crossroads to many other regions in the Shadow Realm. You’ll find 20 new armor sets, pieces, and shields in Scadu Altus.

Divine Bird set

West of Castle Ensis in Scadu Altus, you’ll find a large arch with a teleporter at its base. Use an Imbued Sword Key on the Gargoyles to activate the teleporter and take it to the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. Move to the center area and defeat the warrior with the bird helmet. It can drop items from the Divine Bird Set: Divine Bird Helm, Divine Bird Warrior Armor, Divine Bird Warrior Gauntlets, and Divine Bird Warrior Greaves.

Black Steel Greatshield

The Black Steel Greatshield is a guaranteed drop from Black Knight Garrew, the boss of the Fog Rift Fort area. To get to him, and the fort, start at the Scadu Altus, West Site of Grace and look for a path down to your left. Once inside the fort, you’ll face him just after you cross the bridge.

Verdigris greatshield and armor set

Outside of the Church of the Crusade, which is on the west side of Scadu Altus, you’ll get invaded by Moore, a small person with a shield and heavy armor. When you defeat them, they’ll drop the Verdigris greatshield as well as the complete Verdigris armor set.

Gravebird Anklets

In the poison swamp, in east Scadu Altus, you’ll find a big pool of poison water surrounded by Gravebirds. On a body in the water, you can loot the Gravebird Anklets.

Leather armor set (Highland)

The Leather Set with the Highland attire is in east Scadu Altus, just west of the small lake surrounded by orange trees. You’ll find a corpse on the ground, hidden in the grass. Interact with it to pick up the Leather Crown, Highland Attire, Leather Arm Wraps, and Leather Leg Wraps.

Pelt of Ralva

In Scadu Altus, head to the woods in the east and you’ll meet Ralva the Great Red Bear, a huge bear boss. Defeat them and they’ll drop their pelt as a helmet, the Pelt of Ralva.

Dane’s Hat

Dane’s Hat is one of your rewards for defeating Dryleaf Dane in a duel at the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace as part of the Dryleaf Dane quest.

Shadow Militiaman set

The Shadow Militiaman Set is a random drop from Shadow Militiamen enemies, who you can find in a few places around the Shadow Realm. You can find a small group of them just east of the Main Gate Plaza Site of Grace once you open the shortcut.

The Shadow Militiaman Set consists of four pieces: Shadow Militiaman Helm, Shadow Militiaman Armor, Shadow Militiaman Gauntlets, and Shadow Militiaman Greaves.

Dueling Shield

In the Specimen Storehouse, on the second floor of Shadow Keep, keep right until you find a walkway. On your right you’ll see some hanging specimens. On your left, you’ll see an area under you. Jump off of the walkway and onto one of the two connecting struts. Follow the struts down to the sunken area and loot the body sitting against the wall to get the Dueling Shield.

Fire Knight armor

In the Shadow Keep, you’ll come across the dangerous and powerful Fire Knights that guard the tower. Whenever you kill one of these enemies, they have a chance to drop one of their armor pieces.

Winged Serpent Helm

At the top of the Shadow Keep, just before you enter Messmer’s tower, you’ll face a unique Fire Knight. Kill it and it’ll drop the Winged Serpent Helm.

Golden Lion Shield

The Golden Lion Shield is your reward for giving Ansbach’s Letter to Freyja in the Redmane Freyja quest.

Death Mask Helm

In the Church District of Shadow Keep, you’ll come across a flooded area that you can drain via a lever. Once you take the water away, look for a circular room that has a big statue of Queen Marika. Jump onto her hands and then the ground. Kill Messmer’s Fire Knight outside the door and it’ll drop the Death Mask Helm.

Carian Thrusting Shield

Take the back path into the Specimen Storehouse via the Church District Entrance Site of Grace. The Carian Thrusting Shield is just across the small bridge from the Storehouse, Back Section Site of Grace in Shadow Keep, being guarded by one of Messmer’s Fire Knight’s. Kill the enemies and pick the shield up from the nearby rack of weapons.

Gaius’s Greaves

After you defeat Commander Gaius in northern Scadu Altus, and unlock the Scaduview

Site of Grace, continue west until you find a small building called Albinauric’s Shack. You’ll find a wolf rider around here. Kill them and they’ll drop Gaius’s Graves.

Night armor set and Shield of Night

In the Bonny Gaol dungeon, south of Bonny Village in east Scadu Altus, progress through the dungeon until you ride a pot on a chain down to a stone bridge. When you get off, step on the nearby button to bring the pot back down. Jump back on it and ride it all the way up to where it stops. Hop off on the landing below and investigate the wooden torture device nearby to get the Armor of Night set, including: Helm of Night, Armor of Night, Gauntlets of Night, and Greaves of Night.

From the same landing as the Armor of Night, continue up the stairs and keep right. You’ll see an enemy waiting in a doorway for you. Bait it out and kill it. Behind it, you’ll find a body hanging over a cliff. Interact with it to get the Shield of Night.

High Priest armor set

The High Priest armor set drops from Count Ymir, Mother of Fingers, the final boss in the Count Ymir quest.

Rakshasa’s armor set

In the Eastern Nameless Mausoleum, which is in eastern Scadu Altus by the Recluses’ River Downstream Site of Grace, you’ll find Rakshasa waiting for you behind a fog door. If you defeat her, you’ll earn her entire armor set: Rakshasa’s Helm, Rakshasa’s Armor, Rakshasa’s Gauntlets, and Rakshasa’s Greaves.

Dryleaf armor set

In the water under the Recluses’ River Downstream Site of Grace, you’ll find the Dryleaf armor set. Take the tombstone steps down and get off on the waterfall bluff to your left — do not take the steps all the way down to the right. From there, head forward to the waterfall ahead. Step inside and you’ll find a body curled up under the water. Loot it to get the Dryleaf Robe, Dryleaf Arm Wraps, and Dryleaf Cuissardes.

Death Knight armor set

In Darklight Catacombs, a dungeon in southeast Scadu Altus, you’ll find the complete Death Knight armor set. Progress through the first dark area of the dungeon (which you can light up via a hidden lever) as normal. When you reach the second dark area, look for a set of stairs with a broken bannister to the left. Carefully roll off onto the small platform below and kill all the enemies in the next room.

With everything dead, look for the pit left of where you came in. You can grab the Death Knight Helm, Death Knight Armor, Death Knight Gauntlets, and Death Knight Graves off of a body near the edge.

Jagged Peak armor sets

Jagged Peak is a miniature area in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, and consists mostly of dragon boss fights. But you can earn one unique set of armor here as well.

Igon’s armor set

After defeating Bayle the Dread with Igon’s help, return to him just north of the Foot of the Jagged Peak Site of Grace. You’ll find his dead body, and will be able to collect his armor set from it: Igon’s Helm, Igon’s Armor, Igon’s Gauntlets, and Igon’s Loincloth.

Ancient Ruins of Rauh armor sets

The Ancient Ruins of Rauh is the final region you’ll adventure through in Shadow of the Erdtree, and is home to 15 new armor sets and shields.

Smithscript Shield

In Taylew’s Ruined Forge, in the northern woods of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, head up the stone pipe until you reach the top. Jump off to the right and go through the doorway in front of you. Clear the enemies from the room and then go up the ramp to your right. You’ll find the Smithscript Shield resting on a body.

Fang Helm and Iron Rivet armor set

The Fang Helm and Iron Rivet armor set both drop from Red Bear, the boss of the Northern Nameless Mausoleum. You can find this tiny dungeon just east of Temple Town Ruins via a Spiritspring. The Fang Helm is unique and not part of any armor set. The Iron Rivet set includes: Iron Riven Armor, Iron Rivet Gauntlets, and Iron Rivet Greaves.

Gravebird’s Blackquill Armor

West of the Temple Town Ruins in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh area, follow the river into the broken buildings. Near the left cliff, you’ll find some Gravebird statues (some of which are actually enemies) and a giant altar at the end. At the foot of the altar, you’ll find the Gravebird’s Blackquill Armor.

Leather armor set (Gloried Attire)

In the bottom part of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh area, in the western woods, you’ll find a body resting in the middle of the forest by some trees and a rock. Loot the body to get the Leather armor set, which consists of four pieces: Leather Headband, Gloried Attire, Leather Arm Wraps, and Leather Leg Wraps.

Imp Head (Lion)

The Imp Head (Lion) helmet is hidden deep inside the Scorpion River Catacombs dungeon. Inside, proceed forward until you reach the massive room that has a smasher in the ceiling. Climb up the ladder and keep left to avoid the Basilisk’s gaze. Cross the bridge and hop onto the little lip on the right to cross over to where the Basilisk statue is. Stand close to the edge and a smasher will come down. Jump onto the smasher, ride it up, and jump off to the raised platform to the side. You’ll find a body that you can loot the Imp Head (Lion) helmet from.

Salza’s Hood

Across the massive bridge to the west of Shadow Keep, you’ll face down a Flame Knight who reigns fire down on you. Defeat them and they’ll drop Salza’s Hood.

Crucible Hammer-Helm

The Crucible Hammer-Helm drops from Devonia, a powerful knight you’ll encounter at the end of the first set of ancient ruins in Rauh.

Gravebird Helm

After the Spiral Rise Site of Grace in Enir-Ilim, you’ll find yourself on the rooftops before re-entering the tower above the site of grace. Jump on the nearby elevator and ride it down. Before it stops, you’ll come by a giant altar with an item on top. Jump off of the elevator and onto the altar to get the Gravebird Helm.

Divine Beast

The Divine Beast Set is a random drop from Divine Beast Warriors, which are extremely powerful enemies that only appear in Enir-Ilim, the DLC’s final dungeon. The quickest farm here is the lightning Divine Beast Warrior near the Spiral Rise Site of Grace.

There are only two pieces in the Divine Beast Set: the Divine Beast Helm and the Divine Beast Warrior Armor.

Freyja’s armor set

After the Needle Night Leda and her allies boss fight near the end of Enir-Ilim, you can walk up to Redmane Freyja — if she’s present — and loot her entire armor set: Freyja’s Helm, Freyja’s Armor, Freyja’s Gauntlets, and Freyja’s Graves.

Hornsent armor set

After the Needle Night Leda and her allies boss fight near the end of Enir-Ilim, you can walk up to Hornsent — if he’s present — and loot his entire armor set: Caterpillar Mask, Braided Cord Robe, Braided Arm Wraps, and Soiled Loincloth.

Leda’s Armor

After the Needle Knight Leda and her allies boss fight near the end of Enir-Ilim, you can walk up to Leda’s body in the other room and grab Leda’s Armor for yourself.

Ansbach’s armor set

After the final boss fight with Promised Consort Radahn, you can find the body of Sir Ansbach in the arena if you did his questline. (Note that you don’t need to have summoned him for the actual fight in order for his loot to appear). Say farewell to your ally by grabbing his entire armor set: Wise Man’s Mask, Ansbach’s Attire, Ansbach’s Manchettes, and Ansbach’s Boots.

Thiollier’s armor set

After the final boss fight with Promised Consort Radahn, you can find the body of Thiollier in the arena if you did his questline. Say farewell to your ally by grabbing his entire armor set: Thiollier’s Mask, Thiollier’s Garb, Thiollier’s Gloves, and Thiollier’s Trousers.

Circlet of Light

After defeating Promised Consort Radahn, the final boss of the expansion, go to the middle of the arena and view Miquella’s memory. After the cutscene, you’ll earn the Circlet of Light helmet.

Boss armor sets

When you defeat certain bosses in Shadow of the Erdtree, you’ll be able to return to the Table of Lost Grace and purchase individual item pieces inspired by them from Finger Reader Enia. She has four new armor sets to sell you.

Rellana’s Set

After defeating Rellana in Castle Ensis, you can purchase her entire armor set from Enia: Rellana’s Armor, Rellana’s Helm, Rellana’s Gloves, and Rellana’s Greaves.

Messmer’s Set

After defeating Messmer in Shadow Keep, you can purchase his entire armor set from Enia: Messmer’s Armor, Messmer’s Helm, Messmer’s Gauntlets, and Messmer’s Greaves.

Gaius Set

After defeating Commander Gaius in Shadow Keep, you can purchase his entire armor set from Enia: Gaius’ Armor, Gaius’ Helm, Gaius’ Gauntlets, and Gaius’ Greaves.

Young Lion’s Set

After defeating Promised Consort Radahn in Enir-Ilim, you can purchase his entire armor set from Enia: Young Lion’s Armor, Young Lion’s Helm, Young Lion’s Gauntlets, and Young Lion’s Greaves.
