are back, just a few days after Raven disabled them. The developer tweeted on Friday that it is reenabling the Modern Warfare tokens and that they should work for both games again.
According to Raven’s tweets, all of the legacy Modern Warfare tokens will now be usable in both Modern Warfare multiplayer and. Any tokens that are earned after season 1 will be usable in both Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer and Warzone — but not Modern Warfare’s multiplayer.
patch going live soon!

The controversy around these XP tokens started shortly after the season 1 patch went live for all three games and players discovered that they were no longer able to use their Modern Warfare double XP tokens in Warzone. These tokens, which mostly came from the premium paid battle passes that have been released over the last several months, allow players to gain character and weapon experience twice as fast as they normally would. Fans quickly became frustrated that the items they had paid for were now worth significantly less, — especially those that didn’t own Modern Warfare, the one place you could still use the tokens.
Raven Software didn’t offer an explanation of why the tokens were originally disabled. The developer did, however, announce a few other updates in the same thread including small Warzone-specific balance changes, and the fact that more weapons would be coming to the game in the future.
According to Raven’s tweets, all of the changes it mentions should be going live soon, so you can log in and look for your hard-earned Modern Warfare XP tokens in the near future.
