Destiny 2 Xur location and items, April 2-6

The weekly Exotic item merchant, Xur, hangs out in random locations around the world of Destiny. In Destiny 2, he can appear all over the map, as well as inside the Tower. This week, you can find Xur on Nessus, standing on the branch of a big tree by Watcher’s Grave.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

  • Arbalest, Kinetic linear fusion rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
  • Orpheus Rig, Hunter legs: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Lion Rampant, Titan legs: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Aeon Soul, Warlock chest: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now purchase a second with an Exotic Cipher)
  • Exotic Cipher quest: free

Xur’s items drop at a similar power level as your character.

Arbalest

Arbalest is the Exotic from 2019’s The Revelry holiday event. Its Exotic perk is Compounding Force, where the weapon deals bonus damage to shielded enemies. It also buffs itself after destroying an enemy shield.

Arbalest is unique in many ways. It’s the first ever Kinetic fusion rifle, and is an amazing tool for removing shields (usually something reserved for Energy weapons). This weapon isn’t the most impressive Exotic out there in everyday use, but it is very powerful in niche situations.

Orpheus Rig

Orpheus Rig is one of the best exotics in the game. Its main perk, Uncanny Arrows, generates additional Super energy for each enemy tethered with Shadowshot. The Moebius Quiver variant also gains more shots. With Orpheus Rig, a well-placed Hunter Super can quickly start regenerating your Super. This is extremely helpful in a few different endgame scenarios, including Nightfalls and Raids. These did get significantly nerfed a few years ago, but are still very potent. If you like Nightstalker, you have to get these legs.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 61 total stats.

Lion Rampant

Lion Rampant is a great exotic to have in specific situations. Its main perk is Jump Jets, which provides additional aerial mobility and now gives more accurate hip firing while in the air. That may not sound like much (and it isn’t, in most cases), but some players swear by these in PvP and some jumping activities like the Gauntlet or the Reactor Room. Pick these up and keep them around; you never know when you’ll need a more accurate jump.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 61 total stats.

Aeon Soul

Aeon Soul is a pair of Warlock gauntlets from Curse of Osiris. These Exotics recently got a rework and now work similarly to the Aeon Safe for Titans and Aeon Swift for Hunters. The Aeon Soul doesn’t actually have an Exotic perk. Players can apply powerful, unique mods that work to help them and their allies.

These mods are free and come in an additional mod slot. They’ll provide bonuses like faster reload for yourself when you get precision hits. They’ll also confer bonuses to your allies, like giving bonus energy when you stun a Champion. There are three unique mods to choose from, all with their own effects for you and your allies. The mods are the same for every Aeon Exotic.

Xur’s roll this week comes with 60 total stats.

Exotic Cipher quest

Starting in Beyond Light, Xur has a new quest for an Exotic Cipher. The Exotic Cipher lets you buy old Exotics from the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk in the tower. You’ll need these items and some other currencies to pick up Exotics like Heir Apparent, Truth, and more.

This week, Xur wants you to complete 21 Strikes or win Crucible or Gambit matches. By finishing the quest, you’ll earn an Exotic Cipher to use however you want.
