For the first time in its history, OpenCritic has issued a warning to Cyberpunk 2077 players intending to purchase the game on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
Reviews aggregatorhas begun to show users of the site a pretty unavoidable warning when they start checking out review scores for Cyberpunk 2077.
An official statement issued by the site at the top ofreads: “This game has significant disparities in performance, player experience, and review scores between the PC, next-gen consoles, Xbox One, and PS4 versions.
“The OpenCritic team and several critics suspect that the developer, CD Projekt Red, intentionally sought to hide the true state of the game on Xbox One and PS4, with requirements such as only allowing pre-rendered game footage in reviews and not issuing review copies for PS4 and Xbox One versions.”
It seems that OpenCritic intends to keep the warning pinned to the page until February 2021, when the developer has stated it willaimed at improving the state of the game.
