Kyogre is a popular and desired raid target in Pokémon Go. The Legendary Pokémon is the best water-type attacker in the game and is highly desired for most intense raiding teams, but luckily, it has a good handful of weaknesses.
When taking on Kyogre, players should use grass- and electric-type Pokémon. Kyogre is tricky and packs a punch, so players should be prepared to use a group of seven people or more with counters to safely complete the raid. The recommended Pokémon and movesets are as follows:
- Raikou with Thunder Shock and Wild Charge
- Zekrom with Charge Beam and Wild Charge
- Electrivire with Thunder Shock and Wild Charge
- Magnezone with Spark and Wild Charge
- Roserade with Razor Leaf and Solar Beam
Kyogre’s raids are definitely ones where you’re going to want to watch what the game recommends you as your party, though. Electric-types are heavily recommended, since Kyogre has the ability to blast your grass-types to smithereens using Blizzard. If you know Kyogre isn’t packing Blizzard, you can use Venusaur, Sceptile, and Breloom as well.
Once you get your Kyogre, the best moveset for it is Waterfall and Hydro Pump. Kyogre is one of the best dust investments to power up. It hits hard and takes down ground-, fire-, and rock-types like nobody’s business.
