Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game won’t return until January

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game, the 2010 video game adaptation of the film by the same name, was delisted from digital storefronts in 2014, but six years later, the game is coming back. Ubisoft announced on Monday that Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game — Complete Edition will be released on January 14.

It’ll be available on Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One, released with the original game’s downloadable content, which added Knives Chau and Wallace Wells as playable characters. Ubisoft hasn’t said whether it’ll have a physical game available.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game launched in August 2010, at the same time the movie premiered. It was delisted from digital storefronts in December 2014, making it unavailable to anyone who hadn’t already downloaded the game.

Fans had hoped that the 10-year anniversary of the movie would inspire the developer to bring the game back, but things looked bleak. In August, Scott Pilgrim comics creator Bryan Lee O’Malley tweeted that he’d be “surprised” to see Ubisoft bring the game back.

Thankfully, he was wrong. In September, Ubisoft made a surprise announcement that the game would return.
